Dr. Kanika Gupta is a highly experienced and skilled Gynae Onco Surgeon in India with a career spanning more than 39 years. Currently holding the position of Senior Consultant in Gynae Oncology at Max Hospitals, she is an expert in the field of Gynae Surgery and Gynae Onco Surgeries.

Dr. Gupta has an extensive work history of 39 years, which includes surgery and teaching roles as a lecturer, associate professor, and postgraduate teacher at Wanless Hospital and Miraj Medical College in Maharashtra. She has also served as the Director of the Galaxy Cancer Institute, where she was recommended for her expertise and high patient satisfaction ratio.

She completed her MBBS and MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Jabalpur Medical College between 1977 and 1986, where she also worked as a demonstrator in Obs & Gynae. Her academics further include a fellowship in gynaecologic cancer surgeries under the guidance of Prof. Neville Hacker and also specialised training in pelvic endoscopy with Prof. Kurt Semm in Germany. She also received advanced training in performing gynaecological cancer surgeries at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre in Texas, USA.

Dr. Gupta is also a member of medical societies such as the European Society of Gynae Oncology, the Association of Gynae Oncologists of India, and the Association of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of Delhi. She is also affiliated with the Indian Medical Association, the Association of Genital Infections & Neoplasia, the Delhi Gynae Endoscopists Society, and the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopy, among others. She has served as the Executive Member of AOGD Delhi, AOGIN, and DGES, and as the Chairperson of the Sub-Committee on Oncology for AOGD from 2011 to 2013.

Dr. Gupta's special interests include performing minimal access surgery in gynaecologic cancer, particularly laparoscopy and robotic surgery. She is also a specialist in providing treatments for the prevention of genital cancer and specialises in surgical treatments for uterine fibroids and cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vulva, and vagina. Her expertise also extends to cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC for ovarian and uterine cancers.
